Date & Time: Wednesday, September 24, from 18.00 to 20.00

The Information Session will be hosted by Assistant Dean of Admissions, Mrs. Linda Meehan. Dean Meehan will be joined by Alumni of the school who work in Romania. The event will end with a Q&A session, meant to address and clarify any aspects related to the educational programs offered by Columbia Business School. Immediately following the Information Session there will be a reception sponsored by ENEL Romania. Both the Information Session and the reception are opened to the general public and anyone interested in learning more about Columbia Business School is welcome to attend.

The Information Session is the first hosted in Bucharest by a senior official of Columbia Business School, when young Romanian students and professionals will have the opportunity to meet directly with Columbia Business School’s officials and alumni.

“Romanian alumni of our school have always encouraged us to visit Romania and meet the young talent pool aspiring to an Ivy League education. We are very excited to have the opportunity to visit Bucharest to meet with alumni living and working in the country while being able to carry our message of excellence to those we hope will be joining our school in the near future,” said Dean Linda Meehan. “The recently established scholarship for Romanian students at Columbia Business School is further proof of the School’s commitment to welcoming future Romanian students into its Alumni ranks”.

Columbia Business School is committed to preparing its students for business leadership in a rapidly changing world. Today’s business world is increasingly decentralized, fiercely entrepreneurial, and relentlessly global.
“As an alumnus of the prestigious Columbia Business School, I am pleased to welcome and support their presence in Romania, for the first time. I hope that a lot of young Romanian talented students will have the opportunity to pursue CBS programs, as such education at highest standards is a guarantee for their future excellence, contributing to the country’s development. As one of the most important investors and largest employers in Romania, we have remarked the tremendous potential of students and I would encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity.”, commented Matteo Codazzi, Chairman of Enel Romania.

The School’s global perspective is reflected in and reinforced by its remarkably diverse student body; close to 41 percent of recent classes are made up of students who hold non-U.S. passports. In addition to this global diversity, most of the students have lived, worked or studied abroad.
Columbia Business School’s location in New York City is unique among elite business schools. Relationships with and access to New York’s largest firms and industry leaders provide unparalleled opportunities for students. As one of the world’s premier financial capitals and headquarters to scores of multinational companies, New York City is a living laboratory for Columbia Business School students.
