XL WORLD Group Confirms 300% Growth in the Outsourcing Market in 2006

LONDON, May 21, 2007—XL World’s management board announced that 2006 has been a profitable year for the outsourcer, with results exceeding expectations. Turnover was of € 3.5 mil versus € 1.2 mil in 2005, confirming a growth rate of almost 300%.

Commenting on the latest announcement, Mr. Roberto Montandon, CEO of XL World Europe, said, “We delivered another good year; we consolidated the current operations, demonstrating the sustainability of our business model and steady success in supporting our clients. But, more importantly, we laid down a solid foundation which will allow us to implement a strategy for further growth.”

XL World achieved significant growth by expanding operations to 800 seats following a massive recruitment plan and effective sales strategy. First quarter results show a consolidated turnover exceeding € 1.3 million, in line with the company’s plans, and reaffirm XL World as one of the major contact centre providers in Romania.

Objectives for 2007 are moderate growth to 1000 seats while consolidating the current business. XL World is looking mainly at expanding the range of its contact centre solutions and creating a broad-spectrum mix of outbound, inbound, and non-voice activities. The new solutions in particular focus on developing key areas such as multi-lingual and multi-channel customer care support. This will help XL World provide more extensive coverage of customers’ needs and, in turn, increase revenue opportunities.

Another goal is to increase its presence in the Romanian market. “The market for BPO (business process outsourcing) in Romania is still in its early stages. The clients’ needs are not well developed and legislative and governmental support is still weaker than abroad”, commented Montandon.

The Romanian outsourcing market has registered significant growth in the last two years, not only in the international market but also in the local market. Large companies in Romania are now more and more interested in exploring the opportunities a call centre may offer to manage communication with their clients.
“We see a very high potential for our company in this growing market, as we can combine a strong local presence with the know-how we gained supporting large foreign companies”, added Mr. Montandon.
