CEU Business School Presents in Bucharest its Graduate Programs

If you would like to obtain an MBA in a short period of time, without sacrificing academic quality, the new CEU Full-time MBA is designed for you. The program is rigorous and demanding, and requires total commitment. You will be part of a dynamic group of high-achievers from two dozen countries. Classes are small, providing the right balance between diversity of participants and individual attention. The one-year MBA will continue to balance management theory and practical skills, with focus on the realities of the emerging and transition economies of the region. The new program will be delivered in 6 modules, from early September 2005 until the end of July 2006.

However, not everyone can leave their full-time job to pursue an MBA, and not everyone is willing to tackle the challenging task of juggling work, personal life, and school. Now, with the new Weekend MBA at CEU Business School, the same high quality American MBA degree can be earned on the weekends, while staying on the fast track, with no career interruption. The Weekend MBA was designed with the working professional in mind. The logistics have been developed to allow participants to maximally focus on coursework during the intensive 3-day sessions, with minimal disruption to work.

The IMM (International Master's in Management) Program, also known as the Executive MBA, is a unique integrated degree-granting program of advanced study in management for experienced professionals who seek to obtain a master's degree in management while maintaining their full-time job responsibilities in their organizations. It is designed to accommodate the needs of executives with demanding schedules, and offers an alternative to the traditional part-time Executive MBA and to the usual „transplant" American MBA in Europe, both in its educational delivery system and in the international character of its student body, faculty, and residential sessions.

The MSc in IT Management program provides participants with the skills necessary to evaluate technological and managerial solutions, and to identify which combination of these solutions would enhance the added value in their specific industry and type of business. Particular emphasis will be given to developing entrepreneurial skills. Methods for transforming technological knowledge into profitable business applications is a core element throughout this program. Strong industry involvement and executive participation guarantees the timeliness and relevance of the technology entrepreneurial initiatives that are generated during the program. The latest technological innovations and their applications will be explored, providing participants with a competitive edge in exploiting existing, and/or designing new in-house technology for enhancing the product offering, for better market positioning, and for market expansion.

Despre Tigros Net

CEU Business School was established in 1988 (it was known for the past 15 years as IMC - International Management Center) by a group of visionary leaders, including philanthropist George Soros and Hungarian entrepreneur Sándor Demján. It was the first educational institution in the CEE region to train managers by offering a western graduate business program leading to an American MBA. Since its inception, the school has pursued the goal of developing standards in line with Western institutions, while ensuring timely and relevant consideration of the changes within the region’s transforming economies. After 12 years of granting joint degrees, IMC joined Central European University, as an integral part of the institution, but remaining a legally independent, separately registered entity. It’s name was officially changed to CEU Graduate School of Business in September of 2002.
